Boston-based noise rock group Crippling Alcoholism fold in gothic rock, darkwave, and New Order-esque synths to create a sound they refer to as murder pop. Even at its most inviting, their music covers themes of violence, addiction, and destruction.

Camgirl
The band was formed in 2022 by Tony Castrati after going through a particularly destructive bout of alcoholism, directly inspiring the band name in act of raw transparency that would come to define their output. Joined by guitarists Stefan Iglesias López & Peter Mirata, drummer Danny Sher, and keyboardist Jonathon Jasperse they quickly formulated their debut album, 2022’s When the Drugs That Made You Sick Are the Drugs That Make You Better. The next couple of years were a little tumultuous, albeit productive, with the inclusion of a second guitarist Tyler Tremblay. A second album emerged, 2024’s With Love from a Padded Room. Mirata departed the band soon after, with Alyce Smith filling his shoes throughout 2025. Together they released their breakout album, 2025’s Camgirl, but guitarists Smith and Tremblay left soon after, replaced by Aki McCullough and Brenna Rey.
