m Fost La Munte Si Mi-a Placut (I Went To The Mountains And I Liked It) is a Romanian post-rock, post-metal, prog and stoner band consisting of five multi-instrumentalists. 

AFLMSMP or “The Mountain Band” has shown an inclination towards a barefaced, riff-led take on the post-genres, inviting comparisons with bands such as Pelican and Cloudkicker (dunk!records, 2022) and If These Trees Could Talk (Everything is Noise, 2019). Fans have also generously likened AFLMSMP’s sound to bands like Russian Circles and Isis.

Following three full-length releases, as well as a few EPs and live recordings, AFLMSMP unveil their fourth record, co-released by dunk!records and A Thousand Arms – their 2nd release with dunk!records. I Went To The Mountain (2025), a self-titled record of sorts, presents at once a hard-hitting iteration of post-rock and post-metal, as well as a daring, experimental outlook on said genres.

Currently on tour in Europe in support of their new record, delivering an immersive live performance of I Went To The Mountain in its entirety.
