CRYSTAL LAKE [Japan] (Metalcore / Deathcore / Post – Hardcore)
Crystal Lake, one of the fastest growing names in the Asian Metal scene, named by the well-known Lambgoat publication as “Japan’s best musical export product in recent years,” arrives for the first time in Romania.
Established in 2002 in Tokyo, Japan, the group brings a tough but melodic sound, the result of the merging of metalcore influences with those of progressive rock and nu-metal. They have been successful since the first album, entitled “Dimension” (2006), which meant touring the Asian continent alongside Parkway Drive, Hatebreed, The Ghost Inside and many more, being described as “one of the new stars of the international metal scene that attracted attention and generated the most reactions. ” Despite some changes in composition, Crystal Lake continued its musical exploration, which resulted in the EP “Cubes” (2014), followed by a series of tours on the continent. Just a year away, the band released their second album, The Sign, under Artery Recording, followed by a third, True North.
Efforts have not gone unheard of, so the band has managed to build a strong fan-base outside Asia, which has brought them the opportunity to tour in Europe and the UK in the fall of 2017. A second European force tour followed, including ten countries and shows at some major festivals.
The release of the “The Circle” single brought the band a third visit to the European continent and to England as a support act for Bury Tomorrow.
And the newest Crystal Lake record, called “Helix”, released this year, guarantees an explosive show that has already provided the band with a role in the line-up of some of the most popular festivals.
